Speak Their Names
Charlie Company suffered their first soldier killed in action on February 6, 1968. The final loss of life for the company occurred on March 22, 1971.
This gallery is dedicated to the Charlie Company soldiers who did not make it home. They will not be forgotten.

Bidart, David
GOLD STAR FAMILY
David deployed with the battalion in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Charlie Company, 2nd Platoon. David was killed in action on March 5, 1968 near Song Be City in Phuoc Long Province. Charlie Company, 3/187th was participating in Task Force Klaxton at the time.

1st Platoon
Jakeway, Jon
Jon deployed with the battalion in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served as a machine gunner with 1st Platoon. Jon was wounded in action on March 21. 1968 during Operation Box Springs/OPORD Rakkasan Chaparral.

Charlie served with Charlie Company, 3/187th from January 1968 through January 1969.
